Another cataract surgery
Well, for all my rapsodizing about wonderful vision with cataract surgery, it wasn't wonderful enough. In fact it wasn't much better than what I had before, so three weeks after the first surgery, we went back in (meaning the doctor and my eye) and put in a "piggyback" lens to help correct the first lens. The Dr. told me before the first surgery that the calculations on which lens to use would be a bit of a crap shoot because of having had lasik, but he was pretty sure he had gotten the right one. Nope, not quite. Now the vision is where it should be, two surgeries and all that expense later. Thank goodness for good insurance. Now in about a month, I will go to my optometrist and have him correct my right eye for reading and up close vision and we'll be good to go!
