Crazy Horse monument. This unfinished sculpture will eventually be Crazy Horse Sioux Warrior sitting astride his war horse, representing all Native American nations. All you can see now is Crazy Horse's profile. This could take years!
A giant rose quartz boulder found at Ken's Rock shop near Mt. Rushmore. It is a great rock shop with lots of different rocks. We followed this motorcycle with side car for several miles through a wonderful state park. We thought Mark, our son-in-law, would get a kick out of it since he has one. This one had a cover over the sidecar. Don't ya love the carved out tunnel?
Isn't this grand? Pictures don't do Mt. Rushmore justice, but we tried. They have put up quite the monument for this. Looking right up Thomas Jefferson's nose! With Papa and Noni. The flags on each side of the pillars represent all 50 states and when they entered the Union. The history of Mt. Rushmore is fascinating. We sure were glad to become acquainted with it.
