One of the disadvantages of living in place that gets lots of snow it that when it snows a lot, (like right now) I'm pretty much stuck at my house. (please see pictures in previous post). If it snows overnight, then Ray has to get up early and get the snowblower going. However, if it's not too bad when he gets up, then he leaves it for later when there's more snow to blow, and off to work he goes.
While I do know how to work the snowblower, in theory, I really don't want to make the effort, so unless there's some major emergency, or some place I HAVE to be, I pretty much hunker down and stay home. Besides, what's the point of blowing snow if it's still coming down?
So what do I do when I'm stuck at home? Well, there's always cleaning to be done (ugh, not my favorite thing). I play the piano, get in some computer time, work on a quilt or two I have in the works, and read. I don't think I would ever be able to get truly bored coz there's always plenty to do. Besides, if I stay home, I don't spend as much money (unless I am ordering online, not a good thing).
So, all in all, being snowbound is not nesessarily a bad thing.
